This morning, the delegation from the Vietnam General Department of Taxation (GDT) conducted a working session with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Representing VATIP, Mr. Harry Tran facilitated the meeting. Both parties shared experiences and discussed organizational structures and management practices to enhance the efficiency of their respective tax operations.
Representatives from both sides discussed modern tax management methods, including the application of information technology and the digitization of tax data.
The ATO shared experiences in minimizing tax fraud and optimizing audit and supervision processes. Simultaneously, the Vietnam GDT presented improvements in its system and organizational structure.
This working session paves the way for long-term cooperation between the two tax authorities, fostering mutual learning and building a fairer, more transparent tax system. It also highlights VATIP’s experience and mission in promoting international partnerships.
